The Paediatric First Aid Level 3 (Part Online) course still involves 12 learning hours, 6 hours of which are completed online and in advance of your practical training then the remaining 6 hours are completed during a face to face practical training session.
This course is designed around those that work or live around early years (0yrs to 16yrs) i.e Nursery staff / Childminders / Teachers and TA's / Pre School Practitioners etc.
Cost - £450.00 incl vat for up to 12 candidates at your venue.
All candidates must be 16yrs+ to complete this course.
This course covers: Appropriate contents of a first aid box, Recording accidents and incidents, Planning for first aid emergencies, Dealing with emergencies, Unconscious casualty and seizures, Resuscitation, Shock, Anaphylactic shock, Electric shock, Bleeding, Burns and scalds, Choking, Fractures and dislocations, Head, neck and back injuries, Poisoning, Foreign bodies in eyes, ears and nose, Eye injuries, Bites and stings, Effects of extreme heat and cold, Febrile convulsions, Chronic medical conditions, including epilepsy, asthma, sickle cell anaemia, diabetes , Meningitis and other serious sudden illnesses.
Who can I perform First Aid on after completion? Children and Babies. (Adults because of the EFR Primary and Secondary Care unit).
Upon successful completion certification is valid for 3 Years.
Timings – This is a part online and 1 day practical course equating to 12 hours. The practical course is delivered between 9am to 330pm, with appropriate breaks.
Ratios – We work on a ratio of 1:12 Candidates.
Administration – Each candidate is given an Paediatric First Aid Book to keep and certificated upon successful completion of the course.
Assessment – Each candidate must the initial online test and theh pass 2 x Theory Multiple Choice Question Papers plus an ongoing practical assessment.
