This online Paediatric First Aid course is for anyone who works, volunteers or lives with children and babies.

Using HD Vimeo/Youtube videos and written guidance, this paediatric first aid course is specially designed to help people learn new skills and knowledge, or refresh existing first aid skills, in order to have more confidence to take action at the time of an incident.

Who should enrol on this Paediatric First Aid Course?

This online paediatric first aid course is suitable for anyone who works, volunteers or lives children and babies, for example babysitters, parents, carers, after-school club workers, coaches, school teaching assistants and volunteers etc.

The course is suitable for anyone wishing to learn new first aid skills or refresh their existing knowledge.  No previous qualifications are needed to complete the training as all paediatric basic first aid techniques are covered in detail throughout the course.

Will this course allow me to become a Qualified First-Aider?

For environments with significant health and safety risks, a formally trained paediatric first-aider may be required on-site to deal with accidents.  The level and type of training that is appropriate will be determined by the company’s risk assessment.

Course Content

Casualty Management, Breathing - Adult, Child and Babies, CPR - Adult, Child and Babies, Spinal Injuries, Head Injuries, Choking - Adult, Child and Babies, Allergies, Use of an Epi Pen, Asthma, Seizures and Febrile Convulsions, Heatstroke, Wounds and Bleeding / Nose Bleeds / Cuts and Grazes, Burns and Scalds, Broken Bones / Slings, Sprains and Strains, Other Illnesses.

CPD – This course can be used towards your Certified Professional Development, 3 Hours.

Certification – Once you have completed your course you can then print off your certificate.  If you do not pass your online test first time then you have nothing to worry about, just read through the literature again and retake your online test until you do.  

Valid for 3 years.  This course takes approx 2-3 hours to complete.
